Louie from Manitoba and Petey from Tennessee.

Saving South Paws Pet Calendar Contest

Melissa Maahs Photography, in partnership with Saving South Paws, is happy to announce its pet calendar contest for 2025. All proceeds from donations collected from the photo contest and from the sale of the calendar will assist Saving South Paws with veterinary care, medication, food, and many other basic needs for the dogs such as, treats, beds, toys, dog pens, transport costs, and boarding.

We encourage you to submit your favourite photo of your pet and ask your family and friends to vote for them. Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines; those that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win. Fees (donations) for photo entries and votes will help Saving South Paws continue their efforts with giving second chances to rescue dogs in need.

Grand Prize:

-The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 12 entrants that get the most votes.

-The top winner will win the coveted cover photo for the 2025 calendar, as well as a feature as a pet of the month!

-2nd - 12th place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month.

-The top 12 vote recipients will have their pet photographed by Melissa Maahs Photography for the 2025 calendar.

-Honour your pet or celebrate a gotcha-day or birthday by reserving a calendar date for their photo.

-Choose a favourite photo, a date, and pay.

-Each calendar date is just $10.

DOGGY SPOTLIGHT

Meet Lulu! This sweet senior was found on the streets of rural Tennessee by the local dog catcher. Lucky for her, she landed a spot in the care of a local rescue partner where she stayed for a year before getting her opportunity to come to Canada.

Due to unforeseen circumstances she was unable to stay in her foster home. Lulu sadly has been in a kennel since mid November and we are desperately seeking a foster or adopter for this special girl.

Lulu has not lost hope and has such a great attitude at the kennel. She still has a twinkle in her eye and plenty of pep in her step. We cannot wait to bust her out and into a loving home that she deeply craves. She bonds quickly to her person and loves hard. If you are looking for a loyal sidekick Lulu is your gal.
